Is the Star Door Plan pushing up the memory market? Micron stock price hits new highs

Sharing price of Micron Technology, Inc., a major U.S. memory manufacturer, surged more than 8% on the 1st, setting a record high. Experts are optimistic that the OpenAI Stargate program will drive a new round of memory growth.
According to comprehensive foreign media reports, OpenAI executive chairman Otman visited South Korea this week and announced on the 1st that he would establish a strategic partnership with Samsung and SK hynix. Samsung and SK Hynix will provide memory chips to the StarGate Project and expand the DRAM production scale, aiming to produce 900,000 wafers per month to support the computing needs of OpenAI's advanced AI models. The two giants are also planning to cooperate with OpenAI to create the "Stargate Korea" data center.
Financial website The Motley Fool analyzed that although Micron has not involved this contract, the DRAM market is mainly broken by Micron, Samsung and SK, and the price fluctuates like commodities. OpenAI's demand for DRAM is growing rapidly, which may push up the prices of all manufacturers, including Micron.
Experts estimate that demand at the Star Gate may account for 40% of the overall DRAM market at its peak, with memory and storage demand rising, thus leading to a rising super cycle.
Microphone's stock price surged 8.86% on the 1st, closing at $182.15, setting a new record high again, with a growth rate of more than doubled at the beginning of the year.
Micron issued outstanding financial reports in late September, claiming that DRAM is for tight supply and NAND flash memory market continues to grow, with overall reporting rising; Micron was also the first businessman to deliver 1y (1-gamma) DRAM to the industry last season, with a leading position in technology.
News pointed out that Samsung also notified core customers that DRAM and NAND Flash prices will rise simultaneously in the fourth quarter, indicating that the memory market has entered a multi-headed cycle.
