TA: Saints winger Di Bryn is about to undergo Everton medical examination, with a total transfer fee of £40 million

The Athletic reported that Dibring will undergo a medical check-up in Everton this Monday and is expected to transfer to the Toffees from Southampton.

TA reported last Friday that Everton is close to reaching an agreement with Southampton on a transfer of Dibrin, with a total proposed plan worth £40 million. The deal includes an initial transfer fee of £35 million and a potential bonus of £5 million, and in principle, an agreement has been reached.

Earlier this month, Southampton had proposed a counter-proposal for Everton's £40 million offer: a £45 million base fee + £5 million easily reached additional terms + 25% second transfer share, but this valuation exceeded Everton's psychological expectations, and Toffee initially informed the Saints that they would seek other options. Southampton did not initially intend to lower the valuation because they regarded Dibring as the best young English player in the market and the core figure of the team's return to the Premier League.

The 19-year-old was not selected for the opening roster against Wrexham and then missed the first round of the League Cup against Northampton, but made a substitute in the 83rd minute of the 1-1 draw with Ipswich. He missed the roster again in a loss to Stoke City last week.

Despite Southampton's relegation last season, DiBreen still contributed 4 goals and 3 assists in 38 appearances in various competitions, with an impressive performance. Dibrin was born in Southampton youth training and played for Chelsea youth team in 2022, returning to the South Coast later that year. He made his debut in the League Cup 1-3 loss to Gillingham in August 2023, and made a total of 43 appearances for the club.

If the transfer is successful, Dibring will become Everton's eighth signing this summer.
