Former Reds defender: Liverpool spent 120 million to introduce Isaac, but the central defender should be strengthened the most

Recently, in an interview, former Liverpool defender Steve Nichol talked about the transfer rumors between the Reds and Isaac. He believes that Liverpool needs to strengthen the most now is the central defender.

Nicole said: "I think it's really weird. If Liverpool signs Isaac for £120 million tomorrow, I won't celebrate it, it sounds a bit strange, doesn't it?"

"You know, I just talked about Manchester United, the team needs to start building from the midfield. And Liverpool needs to start building from the back line, and then gradually move forward and lay the foundation. The team needs a central defender, right?"

"If Ekitic didn't come to Liverpool and the team signed Isaac, I would celebrate it. But now that they already have Ekitic, spending £120 million on Isaac would seem redundant."

"There is a big loophole that obviously needs to be filled, but it's really a bit strange to spend £120 million on a player that may not be needed."
