An old man was accidentally hospitalized and 15 cats were trapped in his room for a month. What he saw when he opened the door was shocking.

Relatively speaking, the life span of cats is shorter than that of humans. Most domestic cats will spend their lives happily in the company of their owners. Although death is a sad topic, being able to go to the cat star with the company of your favorite owner,

The life span of cats is much shorter than that of humans. A cat can only live for more than ten years at most, and one day it will leave the person it loves the most!

Although death is destined to be a sad topic, for a cat, I think it should have no regrets if it can die with its owner by its side.

But things are unpredictable. If the owner suddenly has an accident, what should the pet do? There is only their master in their world. Without their master, where would they go?

Just at the beginning of this month, an animal rescue organization in the UK received a call for help. The person asking for help reported that his neighbor had not returned home for a month. There seemed to be more than a dozen cats in the neighbor's warehouse. These cats have not been taken care of yet. The warehouse is surrounded by dense iron nets, and the person asking for help can only feed them through the gaps in the net.

The animal rescue organization realized that this might be a serious incident of abandoned cats. There had been no water for a month, and these cats needed emergency rescue.

After many efforts, the rescue organization finally found the owner of these cats. She is an old woman who lives alone. She suddenly fell ill and was hospitalized a month ago. The old woman's current health condition is very poor and she may need to be hospitalized for a long time. But after she regained consciousness, she did not mention to her relatives and friends that she had cats at home, so the poor little guys were trapped in the warehouse for a month!

After the rescuers got the key, they immediately opened the door of the warehouse. A pungent odor hit them, making the rescuers shed tears.

The unpleasant smell is expected, but the scene in the warehouse is even more frightening. The warehouse is filled with garbage such as plastic buckets and tables. The walls and floors are covered with thick dirt, which is mixed with cat excrement.

In these piles of debris, more than a dozen cats were scattered everywhere, and several cats were locked in iron cages. There were several food bowls that had been emptied on the ground. There was not even a grain of cat food in them, let alone water.

After living in such a harsh environment for a long time, with almost nothing to eat and no water for a month, these cats were in poor mental condition.

The rescuers endured the stench and moved the cats out one by one. After counting, there were actually 15 cats in the house!

These 15 poor little guys were quickly treated. They had not received any water for a month, and their health condition was worrying.

Most of the cats were malnourished and underweight. Several cats suffered from cat flu, which meant they were all likely to be infected. Some cats suffered from burning urine, and the worst case was that one cat's ears had begun to rot.

Although these 15 cats had been raised by the old woman before, it was obvious that their previous living conditions were very bad. Moreover, after the old woman was out of danger in the hospital, she did not tell her friends or relevant departments that she still had a cat at home. Obviously, this was not the behavior of a responsible owner.

Currently, these 15 cats are temporarily being fostered in the animal protection organization's hospital for treatment. The old woman's behavior has been suspected of animal abuse, and these dozen cats can no longer be raised by her. The rescuers will find reliable owners for the cats after they recover.

These 15 cats have such an outrageous owner. If it weren’t for their enthusiastic neighbors, these little guys might have gone to the Meow Star. I hope they can meet someone who truly loves them in the future!

But this raises a question that is worth thinking about. If owners unfortunately have an accident, what will happen to their pets? If no one is willing to help the original owners raise them, will these pets become stray animals?
