The intensification of geopolitical tensions has brought uncertainty to the market. Local stock markets opened on Monday (June 16).

The sea index component stocks fell more and rose less. Sembcorp Industries, which rose 1.45% to 6.99 yuan. The biggest decline was Singapore Airlines (SIA), which fell 1.44% to 6.84 yuan.

The total trading volume of the Singapore stock market was 62.01 million shares, with a total trading volume of 98.99 million yuan. There were 62 rising stocks and 74 falling stocks.

As of 9:05 a.m., the Straits Times index fell 18.84 points or 0.48% to 3892.48 points.
